Well here it is folks my 3rd weekly update and its a bit more on time.
Its only a quick one today. I have done some more work on the heads for my box of Nobz and the head for my Big mek. am happy with how they are coming along and happy to say im nearing completion of their heads. Next up will be some more of my AoBR set.
 
Well Its been a week or 2 since the last update.
First things first, I have given up on the challenge to paint all the Black Reach box in that time, I have alot going on at the moment and don’t have enough time really. I will get it done asap but i get distracted easily too.

First I got an order in the other day or a box of nobz, a box of boyz and a box of lootaz/flamers (im making lootas)
First up is the nobz, I wanted to build this kit first as I wanted to see the side by side comparison to the Nobz in the AoBR kit….. All I can say is WOW I love the kit its one of my fave kits of all time so far.

Sorry for the Pic quality will get a better one when i prime and begin paint on them… I don’t know when that will be though but what I have started is their heads as its small and I do enjoy painting heads.

Not a great picture again i know but I am hoping to have them done next week after my day off so pics will be put up to show them off.
Continuing on the head theme I did some work on my Big Mek with KFF’s Head and body.

Thats the head for the Mek with a KFF and it may look like the the helmet lens is washed out but its painted tha way which im happy to with as i think the fade looks good to me 🙂
The body is getting along the way, I’m still not sure on the colour for the apron but so far tis the best I have got. You can see a nob from the AoBR kit in the bottom left of the pic.

Well as many of you will know Last blog I promised to do a weekly update without fail and here is the first of them 🙂
No pictures just yet will put some up on Wednesday, This post is mainly to tell you about a challenge I have given myself with the help of my girlfriend.
Many of you will remember my ork warboss, He is from the wonderful Assault on Black Reach Box I added an “Iron Gob” to Him to make him slightly more imposing 🙂
My Challenge is to do with him in a way, and it is as follows:
I have 3 weeks till the middle of may – the 17th to be precise  To paint the remaining orks from the box set.
Now this challenge won’t be easy Its a large amount of troops and not a lot of time, I will be doing an assembly line method and painting groups of them at once to try get it done faster, Now I know the quality wont be wonderful as it will be a speed painting job for table top gaming except for the HQ and main guys as I will be painting them separately to the challenge I have 🙂
The models I have to paint as part of the challenge are as follows:
20x Ork Boyz
5x Ork Nobz
3x Ork Defcopters
The other stuff I have that isn’t part of the 3 week challenge are as follows:
Big Mek With KFF
Painboy and Grot Orderly
Ghazgkhull Thrakka
I’m not doing these guys with the main force because I want them to be finished to the best of my ability and speed painting wont do that,
Now as I said the challenge is to get the Box built up and painted in 3 weeks to a table top standard, Which i’m confident I can do, After that I will go back to make them even better once my painting skills get better, I want to be able to do the ork checkerboard pattern on some of them and add other little bits of detail at some point.
So for now I’m off will be priming all the troops and other parts tonight/tomorrow morning.
Right its been a while, So I will kick this right off saying I finished my Sanguinary Priest the other day And I’m quite happy with how he came out. The red colour for his armor compared to black for the rest of my army was quite enjoyable to paint, getting the white parts right was hell though as I had to do so many layers to get it to look white. It has made me come to a decision that next month I’m going to pick up the Assault on black reach box and paint up some normal blood angels to expand the army away from just Death company. This will also give me base to start an Ork army when I need a break or finish the Space Marines. Heres pics of my Priest for you all.
Also included are the 8 more Death company marines I am painting at the moment, Last night I managed to do the red parts and the silver parts on the weapons. Hopefully tonight I will have a change to get the white parts done, so all the parchment and skulls on the models, Also If i have the time the gold parts too as a few have gold parts that need doing.
Also another little point, Rumor in the works has it that Games workshop are going to be changing their paints, hopefully this is just fixing the god aweful pots they make or doing something drastic again. But I am going to get a few more pots that im missing tomorrow but when I do if I can I wont be trying GW paint I will be trying paint by another company called Vallejo. These paints come in slightly bigger bottles at 17ml compared to gw’s 12ml and the pots are droppers so it makes getting paint into a pallet more exact etc. I have a list of 6 pots of paint I need and the Vallejo equivalent of it so will get what I can tomorrow and report on which i prefer as if it is vallejo then I will deffinately be making the switch as they have a larger range of colors including a fair few colours the GW have discontinued.

Trying a new painting tip with one of my death company marines. Here’s what he looks like after only a little bit of work. I’m excited to see what he’s gunna be when I finish.
Just a little bit done today got some work done on my dreadnought and am happy with it.
Right small update got my first model painted yesterday on my day off. I only spend an hour or so painting though cause i wanted to test technique and a few other things heres a picture of the finished model its a bit blury so I will update tonight with a better one but gives you an idea of the finished guy.
Well as the title says just a quick update. I managed to undercoat all my guys this morning before work so I will be getting round to painting them up tomorrow on my day off. Also found out im getting a nice bonus from work on friday so I ordered some new models to celebrate.
First up is another box of death company (as my army list needs 5 boxes)
Second up is a Furioso Dreadnought, Now this can be 3 different ones and looking on the Games Workshop site you can see all 2 but I am using it as the death company one which will look like this:
