Weekly update 1

Well i have pledged to do a weekly update to this blog at the minumum, Each weekly blog will be Mondays as I have some free time every sunday That I should be able to do.

 

Now this will be mainly a recap blog each week to show what im working on at the moment and give you small updates about new things i’m trying with my painting and such.

 

So first up the guys i’m working on:

 

First up is Chaplain no1 with crozius, bolt pistol and skull helmet.

 

Next up is Chaplain no2. he is going to have a power fist and crozius when finished.

 

Here is my Warboss. I have finished the base on him, And now im working on making an Iron Jaw for him. currently made of Green Stuff needs painting when it cures.

 

 

Last bit today is a small improvement for my working tool. To explain more 2 of my new brushes arrived this morning, I will be trying them out soon and will do a post about it all when im done. But heres a pic of the brushes and the Brush Cleaner I got, to make sure i keep them at their best.

A long time coming.

Well its me again 🙂

It has been a long time 3 months ish since I last posted a blog and it’s not cause I have not been painting cause I have done a fair bit since, to the point where my entire Death Company army is ready for battle in a sense. I have painted the entire army save for 4 guys 2 tanks and a dreadnought. Bellow are a few of the pics taken since my last update to the army

3 Marines on resin bases, They are “alien temple” theme hence why i put green writing on it to stand out a bit.

Next up is me trying to paint the Chainswords yellow, This is a test mini picture so it still requires some smoothing and more work with the brush.

Thats all I have for these guys for now will get pics of the whole army and progress on the things I still need to paint.

This is My Ork warboss, I ended up getting the Assault on Black Reach box… I will say to anyone wanting to get into the game or with space marine or ork armies to get this to add more to the army’s like I am. Though My ork army is a new project to keep me going after my space marines.

I took time out while waiting for the last of my Death company force to arrive, and used that time to paint my first Ork and I am very pleased with how it came out over all. I still need some work on technique but as a first go I am very happy with it :).

Spurred on by a new-found love for painting that this Warboss has given me I have also got myself some high quality brushes to become my main brushes over the cheaper ones im using currently. They are not cheap at £8 a brush compared to £2.50 ish for a Games Workshop or an Army Painter brush, But worth it :).

And hopefully soon I will Have a fellow blogger as my Wonderful Girlfriend who got me a large portion of my Death Company force has started collecting and painting using Necrons as her entry point due to a love of Egypt and the like Necron seemed like a good choice as a “modern version of egypt” in its design and history.

The first post.

Well as this is the first post I think the best thing for me to do is to make it clear what I will be doing with this blog, and that is……

Anything and everything.

In that I will be using this to talk about any little projects I do, to rant about things I do with my life and to share experiences with you all. With the hope to keep things talked about and keep myself from going more insane.

So heres my current project. As an early xmas present from my girlfriend I was given some warhammer 40K stuff which was awesome 🙂 I wanted to get back into it and after looking into what I wanted I settled for a portion of the Blood Angels chapter called the death company. Theres are space marines who have had dreams the night before battle and are now determined to die in battle and will fight untill they can do. I was given 2 boxes of the basic troops seen below and one of the HQ units called Astorath the Grim (see below for pics) So mu current project is to paint the stuff I have been given. So the same day I got the models I picked up some paints and am only just getting round to starting the painting. This entry is just to inform you all of my plans and show you what im going to be painting. I should start painting them on Wednesday when I have a day off as I need to undercoat the models first and I need daylight to do that so I can get it done properly.

Now I can promise my painting will not be that good but I will do my best keep an eye out on Weds/Thurs for pics.

For now I am off so hope you guys like that im planning
